The following terms and conditions apply to all services and repairs booked with Wolfwood Gas Appliance Services and Repairs (Pty) Ltd, also referred to as Wolfwood Repairs.
It is the responsibility of our customers to ensure that they familiarize themselves with these terms and conditions. We will ensure to refer to these terms and conditions on our company documentation and website.
General
By confirming an appointment with Wolfwood Gas Appliance Services and Repairs (herein also referred to as “us”, “our” or “Wolfwood Repairs”), you as the customer are agreeing to our terms and conditions. No other terms will apply to the supply of our services and repairs unless agreed in writing with the owner of Wolfwood Gas Appliances Services and Repairs. Each time a customer approves or accepts a quotation or a booking, it will be deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions of practice.
Payment Terms
The initial call-out fee is payable in advance to secure the booking with our technician. Our call-out fee covers any transport expenses.
Quotes are valid for 14 days from the quotation date. If the quote is not accepted within 14 days, a new quote will be sent out. Kindly note that prices of parts and availability with our suppliers may change and therefore, quotes may need to be amended if not accepted within 14 days.
Our payment terms with all customers are on a cash on delivery basis. All invoices must be settled upon presentation to the customer and are due at the time of service.
For the supply of any replacement parts, we require full payment upfront unless stated otherwise in writing between the customer and Wolfwood Repairs. Any additional charges involved in installing the new parts can be settled on presentation of the final invoice.
Please note that no extended terms of payment will be permitted unless the customer has completed 3 successful transactions with Wolfwood Repairs or a written agreement on email has been made between the owner of Wolfwood Repairs and the customer.
Wolfwood Gas Appliances Services and Repairs reserves the right to change the pricing of our services as required at any time.
We accept cash or EFT payments. Please note that if EFT is used, proof of payment must be provided.
Provision of Services
Once our technician has inspected the appliance, our technician will advise whether only a service is required or whether parts need to be replaced. Before further action is taken, a quotation will be provided to the customer.
Our technician will only proceed with the job once our quotation has been accepted by the customer and the customer has agreed that we may go ahead with any recommendation given by the technician.
We provide services and repairs at our premises or on-site, whichever is best recommended by our technician for the job required. Kindly note that in cases where the appliance must be brought back to our premises, no additional call-out fee will be charged for delivery after job completion. Payment, however, must be settled before goods are returned.
Customers may also deliver and collect appliances to and from our premises. Payment must be settled before goods are returned.
When a part replacement is required, kindly note that there may be a lead-time applicable if parts are not readily available from our supplier. We will communicate this lead-time on the quotation, before proceeding with an order.
Please note that we require a 5 hour window for any cancellations of appointments. We reserve the right to charge 100% of the call-out fee for any appointments missed or canceled without a 5 hour notice. In cases where a customer has confirmed a quotation for parts ordered and cancellation is made after the quote has been accepted or approved, we reserve the right to charge 100% of the bill for parts to the customer.
Guarantee
We offer a 4 week guarantee on our services. This guarantee only applies to our services and to any parts supplied or fitted and to work completed by Wolfwood Repairs. This does not apply to work done by other repair companies or installations done by parties outside of Wolfwood Repairs.
Please note that guarantees on parts will be subject to the guarantees available from the manufacturer / supplier of the part. Specific repairs carry no guarantee, we will communicate this with the customer before continuing with a repair or part replacement.
The guarantee does not apply to additional faults on the appliance that was not included in the initial scope of work. Should your appliance fail within the guarantee period as a result of a different fault, a call-out fee will apply. Additional charges will be quoted for.
Please note that we are not responsible for general wear and tear, misuse of an appliance or accidental damage. Our guarantee will be voided if modifications are made to our repairs or services by parties outside of Wolfwood Repairs.
Waiver of Damages
We always use the greatest care when fixing appliances but it is important to take into consideration that damages may occur to an appliance during the repair process.
Glass and ceramic cooktops can be very fragile and there is always the risk that these appliances may be damaged when trying to access parts underneath these surfaces. This can happen because of the way these appliances are manufactured and the adhesives used by the manufacturer. Before attempting to open such an appliance, we will always first inform our customers of any possible breakage or damage that can occur and wait for permission to continue before we commence on a job. If we receive permission to continue, and an appliance is damaged as a result, the customer agrees to waive the responsibility of any damages from Wolfwood Repairs. We may in specific cases also waive any additional charges initially quoted, this is solely subject to a case by case basis.
Please note that we will always ensure to inform our customers of any possible damages to customer property or risks involved before continuing a job so that the customer has the opportunity to advise accordingly. In the event that we highlight a risk of possible damage and we are instructed to continue with the job, we will not be liable for any damages if they do occur.
